Change Comes Slowly For Me

Haven't been around for awhile, I know. I'm ok if anyone was wondering. I'm moving. Starting today. I'll be moving my stuff to my new place just piecemeal. I don't have really anyone to help me, so I'm just going to move the stuff I can fit into my car until I'm left with the big stuff. Then, I really don't know what I'm going to do. Hopefully, God will provide me someone with a truck and a few friends. *hope*.

If anyone would like to pray for me, send me good energy, or whatever you're comfortable with, it would be so much appreciated. I'm scared about moving because I don't have a job yet. I'm looking every day, though.

I'll try to be around here more in the next few days. Besides, I haven't made any of those commercial ad thingies that make me money in a little while and I need the money. Especially since I'm moving.

Hey Robyn,
Been thinking about you for a while before I was able to pop in here. Sending good vibrations ```````````````````````````````````
(That was the title of my first blog, b/c I like music so much. More importantly, it was that title because someone(other than peeps in this household) cared enough about me to send me a musical BD card with that song, encouraging me and knowing I needed even more TLC than that card could give.)

More good vibrations~~~~~~~~ (both times I'm not singing b/c I stink at singing). Am smiling at you though. IT takes courage to move. Moving is always hard. Hope a job will happen soon. You have many skills.

P.S. I'll try to have chat on, but my internet has been going out because of ice storms.

I hate moving. Hate it. THe process - I hate packing, I hate carrying things around, I hate unpacking.

But the up-side is, I love being in the new place. I love settling in, and rearranging, and making it mine.

Here's hoping that the second part happens quickly for you!

I really don't like moving either. The packing, the unpacking. But I'm like you, once I get everything unpacked, I like arranging everything to make it mine. The problem I'm having now is that the house I'm moving into was built in the 1800s and then in the 1940s, split into 6 apartments. Omg, you should see the house. IT'S HUUUUUGE! My apartment is as big as a regular house! Anyway, like I said, the problem is that there are so many stairs to climb up and down in order for me to move my stuff in. Man, yesterday, I worked from about 10:30am until around 3pm. Today, I'm soresoresore. I've got a bunch of other stuff to move, though. One good thing is that a lot of my stuff has never been unpacked from when I moved in here with dad, so it's been stored in the garage in plastic storage bins. So, all I have to do is put them in my car and lug them up the back stairs to my apartment. I tried to go up the front stairs, but I had a fight with the front door lock. It sticks really badly. I talked with it, pleaded with it, prayed over it, cursed at it, tried to reason with it all to no avail. So, I had to poke around and find which door in the back of the house led to my apartment. At first, I kept trying to get into the apartment above me, but I was so tired that it took me two or three times of going up there to realize it. I kept wondering why the key didn't fit.
Duh. Wrong aparment. I'm not kidding, there are so many doors in that house that it is very confusing to find what door goes to which aparment if you don't know already. Anyway, I finally found it and the lock doesn't stick on the door to the stairs or the door that goes into the kitchen (I have two back doors. One goes into the kitchen and the other goes down the back stairs to the covered parking garage. Another good thing is that that door only goes to my apartment and only I have the key to it. That makes me feel safer.

Yay! Sorry you're so sore, but I'm amazed you have as much space as a house and a covered garage. WOW! Sounds fab. Safety is very important. Now I'm sending house warming good vibrations. ~~~~~~~~
(and virtual massages for those sore muscles)

I'm like you and Kate; I LOVE arranging my things just so, so that the place feels like mine. Nothing needs to be fancy; it's putting my things where I feel comfy knowing no one else has the right to tell me to change it, is a terrific feeling.

P.S. I put Tues. Afternoon Tunes up yesterday, so drop on by to take a load off. Please do not worry about posting any links; just come by and enjoy or (gag lol) if you don't like the music choices. I gave links to cool Youtube Live performances.

Thanks Gel. I may put up some songs today. I'm taking a break from the moving today. The apartment is supposed to be cleaned today, so I figured I would just not go over there because I figured I would just be in the way. Besides, I really, really need a break. I worked yesterday from 11am-3:30pm and then from 9pm-1am. I still haven't put a major dent in the stuff I have to move. I have too much damn stuff. I don't remember it taking this long for me to move last time, but maybe my memory is skewed. I don't know. It probably is.
Anyway, today I have to get all dressed up to go around and pass out my resume like breath mints. I have an interview with a staffing agency at 2:30pm this afternoon. Hopefully, today will be restful for me.
Oh by the way, I think I should make the next Buns Of Steel exercise video. It would consist of lugging 50 pound boxes up narrow, winding staircases in a house that is 200 years old. But you can't move all your stuff at one time, you have to move it a teensy bit at a time in a midsize car that only pretends to have a back seat. And you can't have anyone help you.
