10. Inside the Third Reich-Memoirs of Albert Speer~Albert Speer (not finished)
11. The Lovely Bones~Alice Sebold (not finished)
12. The Princes of Ireland-The Dublin Saga~Edward Rutherfurd (not finished)
13. Don Quixote~Miguel de Cervantes (not started)
Of course, y'all know that all these books I've started reading, but put down, I'll have to reread completely, because I'll not remember what I've previously read. What's even worse is that there are way more books than this in my collection that I've either not read or started and put down, but these are miniscule in comparison to the books in my collection that I have read. So, the next time I want to buy a new book someone remind me that I have to get another bookshelf first.

thanks for stopping by for today's tt! how are things in arkansas? my father lived in fort smith for a few years in the 1950's. he used to tell some great stories about his time there :-)
as for your booklist - when i picked up 'the lovely bones' i could not put it down until i had finished it which was waaaaay late into the night.
also, if you are into king arthur and merlin stuff, 'the hollow hills' (& the other one whose name i currently cannot remember) are excellent.
I am always starting more books before I even finish the ones I am reading. I have a whole pile on the floor by my bed that I am reading, depending on how I feel that night.
The only book on your list I have read is The Lovely Bones.

Things are cool here. I'm waiting for the first snow, but most likely it will be "the first ice".
My friend, Sally, got me into the Mary Stewart books. She's read all of them. Every time I go to the basement library sale in Little Rock, I look for them. The one I have I only paid $1 dollar for. I love the basement library sale.
I've been thinking the next book I read will be The Lovely Bones, but right now, I'm reading Ilona by Hans Habe. It was written in 1960 and originally printed in German. I have the English translation because I don't speak German at all. (I know some curse words thanks to my friend Tanya who is from Germany, but she's been here so long that that's all she can remember. lol)
johnh985: I used to do what you do, have books in piles by my bed, but after awhile the piles just got on my nerves. (I'm kind of OCD like that. Everything has to be in it's place.) I still have the temptation to pick up various books and start them, but I know I'll only put them down and start another and I can't keep track of that many story lines. So, I'm really trying to read only one book at a time until I finish it. It's hard to go into the bookstore, though, and not buy any boooks. It seems like all I do in the bookstore is wander around going, "Wantwantwantwantwantwant". Good thing there's a coffee shop there or I'd never leave the bookshelves.
Very interesting meme topic. Original. Actually, I really liked The Lovely Bones. I read it in record time. Jane Eyre is personal favorite, too. I probably have 13 books I haven't finished, but I never thought of posting them as a Thursday Thirteen like you did. Brava.
I know what you mean about the bookstore. I work in one, and despite the shelves full of unread books I have at home, I simply MUST take home at least one new book every week.
It's the thrill of the hunt :)

I took a class on #13 in college and read the whole, 1700+ page thing!
Wow. I have the unabridged edition. I just keep looking at it. It frowns at me, you know, because it wants to be read. It sort of makes me feel overwhelmed, though. When I told my Spanish professor that I had bought it he said, "You did buy it in Spanish?" Ha! No way Jose. I don't want to be reading that thing for the rest of my life!
