Wordless Wednesday

(When I was writing the title of this, I had to stop and ask myself, "Ummm...is it Wednesday or Thursday?")

Love it, the photo and the thought of one less alarm clock that works properly.

Gel: I've DONE similar acts to several of my alarm clocks. The last time I threw it across the bedroom and it shattered into a million pieces, but what's funny is that I didn't remember it. My dad asked me what that loud noise was when I got up later and I had to go back into my room and see the damage I had wrought.

I've also sent several weighing scales to their early deaths as well with my handy dandy-bigman-hammer I bought at Lowe's.

I think I have some anger issues?

Hi A,
Hell yes! Certain anger expressions are normal for abuse survivors as I bet you know...(I see your wise and winking eyes, but I'll still answer.) Not "anger issues" like a lay person might think.

If your therapist hasn't talked with you about "rage attacks" due to PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), then please ask him/her. "Rage attacks" are one way many of us express the anger, frustration, hurt, helplessness, and pain. I am NOT trained to give you any advice. Suggestions, yes, but not advice, so ask your therapist.

Funny you should mention that because we talked about that very thing today and my assignment this week is to watch to see what triggers my fear and anger. The fear comes first and then the anger, so we're going to work on ways to interrupt that onetwopunch and ways to express my anger that don't involve throwing alarm clocks and sending offending scales to their deserving early deaths. :)

Oh, btw, PTSD is something I have had all my life pretty much. It's only now, though, that I'm starting to get treatment for it.
