New Year's Eve
I feel:: crazy
I didn't go anywhere this year. I stayed home and watched them count down to the New Year on Univision, MTV, and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year on ABC. Why is it that male Latin singers have so much make up put on their faces for television? I know they need some, but the guy I saw... good grief. He had bigger lips than Mick Jagger and that's saying a lot. I just have one thing to say about that: STEP AWAY FROM THE PURPLE LIP GLOSS!
The next door neighbors, Quade and his wife, had some company and they were outside at the new year shooting off fireworks. Yay for living in the boonies where people can start fires at will and not be arrested. They were nice though and wished us a happy New Year. My friend Sally came over with her Chinese food, which by the way, was like the only restaurant open around where she lives in North Little Rock. She bought that food and then drove 30 minutes here to eat it. ???? My dad came home at a little before 12:00 so we all were here when the old year passed into the new one. I haven't been to sleep yet. I've become addicted to my Playstation 2 and I have been playing Whiplash and Pacman World 2 since 1:00am. Yes, I know that's weird and I know that it's slightly obsessive behavior, but I was enjoying myself and it kept me occupied as I have some things on my mind. The funny thing is, it's 8:34am right now and I'm not in the least bit sleepy. I should be. I should be falling over right now.
I hope everyone had a happy New Year's celebration, whatever it was. And I hope we all have a better year this year than last year. I'm not making any New Year's Resolutions because I never keep them so that's just self defeating and I can't beat myself up any more than I already do. Kindness is what I'm looking for.
